Health & Safety Program Development
WHMIS training, or Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training, teaches employers and workers about the safe handling of dangerous materials in the work environment. The provided Materials Safety Data Sheets, employee education programs, and product labels ensure that Canadian workers fully understand the dangers associated with hazardous materials on the job.
The ultimate goal of this program is to promote a safe working environment, and the dispatch is mainly done in two parts. The first and the most crucial part is the provision of education. This step is essential as it enables the workers to know about the labels of hazardous products and also learn how to read them. They come in the form of numbers, colors, symbols and abbreviations and it is imperative for every worker to identify them.
The second part deals with how the materials are handled in a safe manner. It also touches on aspects that deal with the disposal of hazardous substances and the steps which should be taken if an emergency occurs. Understanding how to use the product and also how to identify a danger and deal with it in a safe manner could go a long way in ensuring that serious consequences are avoided.
For the growth of any company amid competition, it is imperative that it is able to pitch its quality products above those of other businesses and stand out regarding their quality proposition. This has to be ensured when a company follows an all-approved quality policy.
As such it is imperative to have GMP compliance guidelines. These rules and regulations ask not only for steps to be followed for quality production and maintenance but also lay out disciplinary actions which would be taken when the specific laws are not adequately followed. Under the legislative considerations, it becomes very important for the concerned people to be responsible for their actions otherwise, they may face very strict consequences. Due to this, the companies worldwide follow the GMP guidelines laid out by the international agencies and strive hard to get better than them. The bare minimum is always followed.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is basically a food safety management system that focuses on proactive approach of prevention for hazards rather than inspection of finished products. HACCP addresses all biological, chemical and physical hazards associated with food safety. HACCP has been successfully used in food and pharmaceutical industry in the identification of potential safety hazards and in taking key actions to eliminate or reduce the risks caused by them. The HACCP system can be used at various stages of production and processing to ensure food safety and protection of public health.
